MOVIE REVIEW - WONDER WOMAN

Updated: Jan 6, 2021

The movie Wonder Woman is about a woman who has superpowers and is using them to protect her family and the island where she lives. Written by Allan Heinberg, with a story also by Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, WW uses a variety of inspiration culled from Wonder Woman’s 76-year history.

As a young girl, Diana enjoys the loving protection of the Amazons of Themyscira, a secluded island paradise created by the gods of Olympus to protect mankind. No Amazon is fiercer or more protective than her mother, Queen Hippolyta.

But Diana longs to be trained in the art of war by her aunt, Antiope. She grows from a kind, young girl into an inquisitive, brave, young woman who never hesitates to helps those in need. Her powers are strength, wisdom, beauty and instincts.

Even a man like Captain Steve Trevor who brings news of World War I when he crash-lands on the island disrupting this all-female sanctuary, gets saved by her.

Then, Wonder Woman, the Amazon Princess Diana sets out to stop World War I, believing the conflict was started by the longtime enemy of the Amazons, Ares. Hippolyta explains their history to Diana, including how Ares became jealous of humanity and orchestrated its destruction. When the other gods attempted to stop him, Ares killed all but Zeus, who used the last of his power to wound Ares and force his retreat.

Before dying, Zeus left the Amazons a weapon, the "Godkiller", to prepare them for Ares's return. Hippolyta reluctantly agrees to let her sister, General Antiope, train Diana as a warrior

The movie in general is well written and filmed well. It is really good because it's interesting and thrilling and is full of action and fun to watch. The effects add a lot to the movie and added a lot to the watching experience.

The acting also was very good and added a lot to the movie. The main actress is Gal Gadot. She is Jewish and was born in Israel and it really feels that Gal Gadot was born to play Wonder Woman and to bring peace and love to this world.
